Ed Zink A
Durango
native and contributor to the
southwest
Colorado
cycling scene, Ed Zink represents
the heart of the cycling community. With over 35 years involvement in the
cycling scene, Ed has put on dozens of races, including the World Championships in
1990, the annual Iron Horse Bicycle Classic, and the NORBA Nationals. As
owner of Mountain Bike Specialists, he provides the vision and direction that
makes MBS the best bike shop in the U.S.
Patti Zink does the marketing, public relations and special events for the shop. Additionally, she organized the Iron Horse Training classes and other special projects.
Ed Zink is a recipient of numerous awards, including an
induction into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame as well being named
Durango
's Citizen of the Year in 2004.
Durango
is truly a unique town, and
nothing adds to the character better than the colorful cyclists that call Durango home. Lucky for MBS, we get to visit with all cycling celebrities that
make the industry so much fun, including Bob Roll (a long time road racer-turned-commentator;) Ned Overend (World Champion;) Olympians Travis Brown and Ruthie Mathes. Chances are if you stop by the shop during peak hours, you're bound to run into some of the pros!
